About Us
OUR FAIRFIELD MIDDLE SCHOOL DRAMA DEPARTMENT HAS A RICH LEGACY OF HELPING KIDS CREATE AND TELL STORIES THROUGH THE ART OF THEATER. ORIGINALLY UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF BARB BELL, WE HAVE PROGRESSED AND NEVER FALTERED IN OUR LOVE OF KIDS AND OUR DESIRE TO GIVE THEM A VOICE.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO CONTINUING THE TRADITION OF THEATRICAL EXCELLENCE FOR YEARS TO COME. WE HOPE YOUR KIDS WILL COME AND JOIN IN THE “PLAY.”
Kelly Walker
Kelly re-created the Fairfield Middle School Drama Club her second year of teaching and has never looked back! She has been teaching Choir for 16 years. Her love of theatre started at a very young age in a Summer Theatre program where she was able to learn all the aspects of theatre including set building, publicity, make-up and so much more. All of her directors since have helped mold who she is today as a director.
She continues to perform for community theaters and some professional gigs. Her favorite part of any production is watching students take the stage for their first time and see the passion light up in their eyes. She holds a bachelors from Ohio University and a Masters from University of Dayton in Choral Education, where she had the opportunity to perform in various Operas. She could not do any of this without the support of her husband, Mike, and children, Cole and Tara.
